How to file a Voter Complaint

If you believe that your rights have been violated or have a complaint about your registration or voting experience, there are two avenues open to you to make the State Board of Elections aware of the matter.

1. The online complaint form will notify the SBE and the General Registrar of the locality where the incident occurred of what has happened. It is most useful in reporting an incident whose resolution is time critical. You can find the online complaint form here - File Voter Complaint Online

OR

2. There is also a formal grievance process which is available to voters who believe that their rights have been violated at the polls on Election Day. You can find this form and more information about it here - Voter Grievance Process
