General Information

To view reports filed by candidates for local or constitutional office, please contact the General Registrar's office in the candidate's locality. Click HERE  to find contact information for any General Registrar's office.

The State Board of Elections (SBE) is the repository for Campaign Finance Reports filed by candidates for the General Assembly and Statewide offices as well as Political Action Committees (PACs), Political Party Committees, Referendum committees and Inaugural committees. You may view candidate's reports on our website. Political committee's reports are available on our website only if they file their reports electronically. You can view paper reports at our office located at Suite 101, 200 North Ninth Street in Richmond, across the street from the State Capitol. You may come in and view reports and/or request copies at $.25 per page. 

SBE transfers campaign finance reports to the Library of Virginia for archiving every two years. If you are looking for a campaign finance report filed prior 1999 then you will need to contact the Library.
